7 things about myself ...
1. I've always been fairly domestic my whole life: choosing to bake cookies with Grandma instead of heading to the beach, making shrimp and grits for dinner at school instead of hitting up Taco Bell, organizing the decorating for shared apartments post college; it's just taken me a long time to embrace it!
2. I applied and was accepted to culinary school in Chicago years ago, but chickened out before classes started!
3. While living overseas, I worked in the Wine Industry and received a Level 3 Advanced Degree from the Wine and Spirit Education Trust.
4. Also while living overseas, I studied to receive a Diploma from the Interior Design Institute. (See what I mean about taking a long time to embrace it?)
5. In the last 10 years, I have lived in 11 homes, 3 of which I have owned.
6. All 3 of the homes I have owned have been fixer-uppers in the Chicagoland area. Clearly, I have a type!
7. I contemplated starting this blog for about a week before I wrote my first post. I'm not sure I was fully aware of what I was getting into at the time!
Now onto my nominations!

I didn't realize that you lived in Chicago. I love it! My best friend lives in Chicago and my husband and I lived there for years!
