Hi, I'm Liz. Welcome to my blog, Designing Domesticity.

What can you expect to find on this wee little blog?

Everything from interior design and DIY; to weekday meals and entertaining; to gardening and remodeling. 


I love to decorate, thrift, refinish, craft and cook - you'll find it all on here. It's basically me in a nut shell. 


How do you know if this blog is for you?
Well, if you want the designer look without the designer price tag, you may just have found your new best friend!

A little more about me?

I'm a stay at home Mom to two lovely little ladies: an incredible 3 year old and a fast growing newborn. And I am fortunate enough to be married to a wonderful man, my best friend, for the last 9+ years. 

After five years overseas, we've recently returned to the US and settled on the North Shore just outside of Chicago. This is my tenth home in as many years, but I have a feeling this one might be a keeper.

I hope you'll continue to follow along as I turn this house into my new home, one budget conscious project at a time!

I've dabbled in just about everything from recruiting, to marketing, to the wine industry, but I feel like I have finally found my home in the wonderful world of interior design!
